Clive Myrie and Victoria Derbyshire are among those who have received pay rises from the BBC over the last 12 months.

Myrie, who as well as hosting Mastermind is a reporter for BBC News and was seen earlier this year reporting from the frontline during Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

According to the latest disclosures from the BBC, Myrie was paid between £255,000 and £259,000 over the last 12 months. This is a significant jump from the year before where he was paid between £205,000 and £209,999.

For 2020/2021, Derbyshire was paid between £240,000 and £244,999, a big raise from the previous year where her salary was between £170,000 and £174,999.

Gary Lineker is still the highest paid on-air talent at the broadcaster where he is paid over £1.3m to present Match of the Day and other bits of the BBC's football coverage.

Zoe Ball is in second place taking home just less than £1m a year which is a wage reduction for her in contrast to previous years.

Not all BBC talent are included on the list including Graham Norton as his chat show is produced by BBC Studios, which operates as a commercial enterprise.

For similar reasons, the stars of the BBC's biggest entertainment programmes – EastEnders, Top Gear and Strictly Come Dancing – are also not made public.

Cricket commentator Michael Vaughan, who is currently off-air after being accused of racist abuse in his playing days also takes home between £225,000 and £229,999.

A number of talent on this year's list won't appear on next year's after leaving the BBC. Stars such as Andrew Marr, Emily Maitlis and Dan Walker have all recently departed the broadcaster for roles as LBC, Global and Channel 5 respectively.
