Driver waits patiently as man shuffles across the road

This was the moment a driver in north London waited at a green light while an elderly pedestrian took a long time to cross.

He is seen shuffling sideways across the road in Hornsey while the driver comes to a halt at the crossing.

"He started to cross when the lights turned red and was still crossing when they turned green again," he said.

"I really wanted to get out and help him cross."
