Hyundai gives first glimpse of all-new i10 in teaser sketch

Hyundai has released a sketch of its new i10, giving a first look at the city car that’s set to hit roads in 2020.

In this image, it’s clear to see the South Korean machine is taking on a sleeker look than its arguably boxy-looking predecessor. The car looks set to grow a little in length, while taking on a lower roofline in the process which Hyundai says will result in ‘an energetic and agile look’.

Though sketches can be hard to go on when picturing a car in the flesh, it’s clear to see design details for the hatch are more aggressive than before — with more angular headlights, repositioned daytime running lights and more defined vents up front. This puts it firmly in line with Hyundai’s current corporate design.

With the car yet to be revealed, the South Korean firm is giving little away about its specifications — though has revealed some of the features customers can expect to benefit from. In an effort to make the i10 a ‘leader in its segment’, it’ll come packed with connected and safety equipment.

These includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, a rear-view camera, plus forward collision avoidance, driver attention warning and lane keep assist as standards.

Expect more details on the all-new Hyundai i10 following its reveal at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, taking place from September 12 to 22.
