Maserati launches new V8 Levante Trofeo SUV capable of 187mph

Historic Italian manufacturer Maserati has revealed the eagerly anticipated Levante Trofeo at the New York International Auto Show. Based on the Levante SUV, it's built around a Ferrari-assembled V8 engine that delivers an incredible 582bhp – capable of powering the hefty Levante from 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds.

Maserati claims a top speed for the Levante of 'faster than 187mph', making the Levante second only to the Lamborghini Urus and the equal of the Bentley Bentayga in the super-SUV market when it comes to top speed.
