An Australian motorist had a very lucky escape yesterday when a huge tree collapsed onto the road just behind them.
CCTV footage from outside of a café and restaurant captures a motorist driving past the building just three seconds before the huge tree falls over in strong winds.
The tree brought down electric lines, sending sparks flying.
The incident happened yesterday along Raleigh Street in Melbourne, when the city was hit by strong winds.
Thousands of properties in the city were left without power yesterday, with a clean-up operation following after eastern and south-eastern areas of the city were hit the worst.
The storm has reportedly been so damaging because the winds rarely come from the east, and the trees aren't used to handling gusts from that direction.
No one is believed to have been injured during this incident.
