The entire UK allocation – all 24 examples – of the hardcore Seat Leon Cupra R have been sold, ahead of first deliveries later in January.
The ultra-exclusive hot hatchback is limited to just 799 models worldwide, of which 24 will make their way to the UK. All are fitted with the 306bhp version of Seat's 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive.

That's a 10bhp boost over the standard car, and the R also comes equipped with a rortier exhaust, aerodynamic improvements and upgraded Brembo brakes.
The exterior is finished in an exclusive matte grey colour, with copper-coloured detailing on the mirrors, wheels and front splitter. The copper hue also continues inside, featuring on the dash, centre console, and door panels.
Seat has confirmed the Cupra R is capable of 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 155mph.
The Leon Cupra R could be the first car to be sold as a standalone Cupra model, after Seat hinted at plans to split Cupra off into its own company, much as Volvo has done with Polestar.
When the Cupra division is established, the Leon could be joined by a whole range of hot Seats. The Ateca Cupra would appear to be the next model on the way, having been spied numerous times.
