A 62-year-old man has been arrested by an off-duty police officer after a road rage incident on the A27 in Worthing, Sussex.
Captured on film by the passenger of the victim's vehicle, the man is seen attacking a driver through the window of his car.
The passenger quickly leaves the vehicle to capture the incident more clearly, and the attacker, can be heard continually shouting as he throws punches through the window at a man sat in the drivers seat.
Other bystanders quickly rush in to try and prevent the incident continuing, but to no avail.
An off-duty police officer then steps in to arrest the man, who begins to fight against the officer as he is tackled while trying to get back in his Land Rover.
Other members of the public come to the police officer's aid and help detain the man until a police van arrives to take the aggressor away.
According to the Worthing Herald, the man was named as Martin Perryman of Broadwater. After appearing in court, he admitted to assault by beating and was handed a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and was told to carry out 120 hours of community service.
Online publication Unilad also reported that he was given a fine and told to pay victim and courts costs, all totalling £500. He was also told to carry out a 30-day anger management course.
