So far, famed Italian car brand Lamborghini has refused to entertain the notion of electrifying its cars. "My dream is to maintain the naturally aspirated engine for as long as possible. It is a sense of emotion in a super-sports car,"says Maurizio Reggiani, boss of the Italian car manufacturer.
But even stubborn Lamborghini knows the days of pure combustion-engined cars could be numbered, and so it's revealed a concept car that embraces electrification. It's called the Terzo Millennio ("third millennium" in Italian) and Lambo hopes it will prove that even an electric supercar can uphold the brand's DNA. It's been created in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
