Porsche has unveiled two new GTS versions of its 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman. Both will feature a revised version of the 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine but with added power coming from a new turbocharger and redesigned intake system.
Both will also have 360bhp with an eye-watering 0 to 60mph time of just 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 180mph, along with 430 Nm of torque.
On the outside there are many visual changes that although subtle, still make the cars stand out. These include new 20-inch alloy wheels finished in black, badges painted black, tinted Bi-xenon headlamps and GTS logos on the doors to name a few.
Inside, the changes are subtle but make a difference. A sport chrono package has been added, which includes an integrated stopwatch located in the centre of the dashboard should you wish to time yourself on a track.
The seats are finished in a mix of half leather and central inserts made of Alcantara, and feature a GTS logo embossed on the headrests. There is also red stitching throughout to add an air of sportiness.
Porsche has also its in-house "Porsche Track Precision APP (PTPA) system. This allows the driver to record driving data and display it for analysis later on via a phone app.
Both cars come with the option of either a six-speed manual gearbox or automatic PDK transmission that uses two clutches to change gear almost instantaneously.
Both cars will cost from £67,898 for the Cayman GTS and £69,701 for the Boxster GTS. The cars will be displayed in dealerships from December but are available to order now.
