Volvo’s standalone Polestar brand reveals its first car

Polestar, the now-detached performance arm of Swedish manufacturer, has revealed its first distinct model – imaginatively named the Polestar 1.

The 592bhp hybrid coupe will go on sale in mid-2019, with styling inspired by Volvo's Concept Coupe of 2013. The overall aesthetic is very much akin to a coupe version of the company's S90 saloon, with an upright grille at the front, flowing roofline and bold C-shaped taillights.
