This is the moment a bus in Birmingham was caught overtaking on the wrong side of a traffic island, narrowly missing a head-on collision with another vehicle.
The footage was captured by a car fitted with a dash cam, travelling on the correct side of the road.
The footage shows the car driving over some speed bumps with a traffic island to the right. Suddenly, a red bus can be seen overtaking at speed on the wrong side of the traffic island into the path of oncoming traffic and narrowly missing parked cars.
A silver Toyota Avensis is forced to stop before the bus collides with it. There then seems to be a stand off between the two and it is not clear if the driver got out to speak with the bus driver.
After a few moments the Toyota reverses and the bus very quickly swings on to the correct side of the highway.
The incident happened on a street in Birmingham. It is not clear if the police or bus company is aware of the video.
