A driver got a shock in Australia after finding a koala bear inside their wheel arch – after a 10-mile journey.
The female koala was discovered after the driver of an SUV heard crying and discovered the animal clinging to the suspension inside one of the wheel arches.
Firefighters arrived on the scene and removed the wheel to free the distressed creature.
Jane Brister, from wildlife group Fauna Rescue, was on hand to help the koala. She said: "It would have been hot in there. You think you've seen it all. No, I've never seen anything like that and it's absolutely incredible.
"She was crying a little bit, she was a little bit shaken, she was certainly in shock but I rushed her straight to the vet."
Although slightly distressed and confused after her journey through the outskirts of Adelaide, the koala was eventually rescued and returned safely to her natural habitat, and can be seen in the footage climbing a large tree.
