A police car in West Yorkshire has been left badly damaged after being rammed.
Caught on the police car's dash camera, the video shows a white Mitsubishi Shogun reversing at speed and smashing into the front of the BMW 5 Series Touring.
Officers had attempted to pull the vehicle over on Otley Road in Bradford when the incident occurred.
The footage shows the Shogun slam its brakes on ahead of the police car, bringing both vehicles to a stop. Its reverse lights then come on before it rapidly accelerates backwards into the police car.
Extensive damage was caused to the police car, with the Mitsubishi's tow bar and spare wheel heavily impacting the front end and pushing the BMW's bonnet back along with the grille and headlamps.
Sergeant Penny Robinson of the Western Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "Fortunately, on this occasion no one was injured however the actions of those in the Mitsubishi could have easily caused a more serious collision and caused injury to a number of other road users.
"This has caused significant damage to the police vehicle and has meant that a valuable resource for protecting the public has been taken off the road."
