Tornado sends cars flying


A tornado swept the through the city of Salisbury in Maryland, USA, and flipped multiple cars, causing a large amount of damage on Monday.

The twister got up to speeds of 105mph – which meant it got a rating of one on the Enhanced Fujita scale, the lowest score – but managed to cause moderate damage to the area and vehicles in its path.

Security footage from Hopper's Tap House, a bar in the city, captured the moment where a car was picked up by the extreme gusts from its parking space and rolled along the ground, before it ended up in the road.

Another eyewitness videoed the aftermath of the tornado where you can see how another saloon was flipped onto two parked cars, causing a serious amount of damage to all three.

Despite the surprise nature of the natural phenomenon, Salisbury police announced that no one was seriously injured.
