It looks like a scene being shot for a Hollywood action movie, but for a mum and her children, this was very much reality.
Lisa Beaulieu of Connecticut in USA found herself in this freak situation when a storm caused a telephone pole to snap in two, with one half latching on to her car like a grabber machine at an arcade.
Beaulieu and her two children found themselves hanging in the air, waiting to be rescued.
Once her saviours arrived, it took thirty minutes for the car to be brought down from the telephone line.
Charlie Flynn, fire chief of Suffield Fire Department, said "I've seen cars drive up guard rails, up the guide wires and crash into a pole but never anything where it has caught them driving by like that."
