CCTV footage has emerged showing the bizarre moment a man damaged five cars in Stockport.
The footage captured on Sunday August 6 shows a man, clearly agitated, damaging cars for no apparent reason. The first is a Nissan Qashqai which has its wing mirror pulled backwards as the man makes his way along the street.
He next walks up to a parked Mercedes and kicks the rear passengers side window before moving on to a vehicle parked on a driveway. It is here he actually headbutts the side of it before strolling off.
Kayleigh Ghent, who owns the Nissan that was targeted, has CCTV cameras installed on various parts of her house, which captured the entire incident as it unfolded in Bridge Avenue in Woodley, Stockport.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, she said: "He came on the street and he was arguing with a girl and then just started blasting all these cars. I heard all the shouting so I went to the window and he was walking down the street screaming in the woman's face.
"I've got cameras all over my property so I shouted out of the window that I'd got him on film and that I was calling the police."
In total five vehicles were damaged. Greater Manchester Police confirmed they were called to the scene. A spokesman described the man as: "A white man, with red hair and a muscular build. He was wearing a grey North Face t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms and trainers. He fled the scene."
