More details of the upcoming Toyota Yaris GRMN have been released.
The latest hot hatch from the Japanese automaker is set to go up against the likes of Volkswagen's Polo GTI and the all-new Ford Fiesta ST.
Unlike its rivals, however, the Yaris GRMN is only available as a three-door hatch and not a five-door.
On the outside, the styling is a bit more beefy than the standard car. It also adds a flair of colour with brightly coloured graphics on each side of the car and across the bonnet, mixing red and black together.
On the front is a huge grille and sharply styled fog lights that are housed within angled vents. At the rear there is a large black spoiler that matches the black alloy wheels and exterior mirror covers.
The car also sits on 17-inch BBS alloy wheels.
One of the best aspects about the Yaris GRMN is what lies under the bonnet. Powered by a 1.8-litre supercharged four-cylinder, it is the same unit you will find in a Lotus Elise.
Wedged into the Yaris it offers an impressive 205bhp, with early reports suggesting the fiery hatch has excellent throttle response and feels much sharper than its rivals to drive.
The car was unveiled to journalists at the Nurburgring in Germany, who had an opportunity to do some flying laps around the world-famous circuit in the Yaris GRMN and really test it capabilities.
The results are a car that reportedly feels more fun and exciting than its rivals. It also offers exclusivity - just 400 will be made and order books will open online from July 27, so those wanting one will have to act quickly.
However, priced at £26,000 it is considerably more expensive than all of its rivals, but also offers much more power and grin factor in comparison.
