Audi’s all-new A8 makes disguised debut at the ‘Spider Man: Homecoming’ film premiere
The all-new Audi A8 has made a 'secret' debut ahead of its official launch later this month.
The car was spotted on the red carpet at the Spider Man: Homecoming premiere held in Los Angeles.
A heavily disguised model with adhesive foil and swirls of black and white was the star attraction and even had Spider Man himself on the bonnet. Tom Holland, who plays the main character in the film, was chauffeured down the red carpet in the vehicle.
The A8 is set to be unveiled officially at an Audi summit in Barcelona on July 11, but those watching the film will be able to catch a sneak peek of the car as it stars as one of the main vehicles.
The A8 was joined by an Audi R8 Spyder on the red carpet – driven by fellow star Robert Downey Jr with Jon Favereau in the passenger seat.
The new A8 is set to have a host of new technology on board, including Audi AI Traffic Jam Pilot, which can be seen in action during a scene from the movie.
The technology is designed to stop low speed accidents, so the car takes control of driving in slow traffic and allows the driver to sit there while the car does all the work for you.
Another option will be Audi's relaxation seat with foot massage for passengers in the rear, giving the seat plenty of adjustability and also - for the first time in a road car - the ability to have a foot massage function.
