Incredibly overloaded Honda Odyssey stopped by police

Updated:

An audacious motorist in the US state of New Hampshire was stopped by police after they noticed the driver's car was dangerously overloaded.

The owner seemed to have loaded every worldly possession they had on to the car's roof, including a number of cabinets, a bike, cleaning supplies, a shovel and a ladder.

Amazingly, it wasn't just the roof of the vehicle that was being used as transport – the Honda's interior had also been packed to the brim with item after item, some even touched the windscreen.

After police pulled the car over, they arranged for it to be towed from the scene. A post on the New Hampshire State Police Facebook page read: "To elaborate on the photo that was posted earlier, driving with items attached/strapped to your vehicle can be extremely dangerous for you and those driving nearby.

"These objects can obstruct your view or even worse become unsecure and cause an accident. Please keep our roadways safe!"

The driver of the overloaded Honda has been summoned to court for negligent driving and non-inspection.
