Rowan Atkinson's limited edition Land Rover Defender 90 Heritage is set to go under the hammer, and could fetch as much as £45,000.
One of only 400 made, the Defender – which belongs to actor and comedian Rowan Atkinson – will be sold off as part of the Silverstone Classic Sale.
The Heritage edition was produced to celebrate the end of UK production of the current Defender, and was delivered to Atkinson – famous his work on shows such as Mr Bean and Blackadder – on November 28 2015.
Since then, the retro off-roader has covered just 2,260 miles. It features a number of classic styling cues, including Grasmere Green paintwork, a heritage style grille, heavy-duty steel wheels and HUE 166 graphics that pay tribute to the first pre-production Series I Land Rover from 1947.
Silverstone Auctions' managing director Nick Whale said: "Silverstone Auctions are very proud to offer this car with such a distinguished pedigree and which, in our opinion, represents the very best of a great British tradition. Never has there been a car that has so captured the imagination of the world.
When the Heritage Defenders went on sale in 2015, they retailed for £27,800. The auctioneers are no doubt hoping Atkinson's celebrity ownership will help drive the final sale price up when it goes under the hammer.
The Silverstone Classic Sale runs from July 29 to 30.
