Disturbing CCTV camera footage has captured the moment a motorbike burst into flames after its rider crashed into a truck.
Recorded in the Chinese city of Nanchang, the footage shows the motorcyclist fail to stop as he approaches a junction before he slams into a left-turning truck.
Almost immediately after the impact, both the truck and the motorcycle erupt into flame, causing the biker's clothing to catch fire.
Instinctively, the rider drops to the floor to perform the 'stop, drop and roll' technique in a bid to extinguish the violent flames.
Shocked bystanders can also be seen rushing to the fallen bikers aid, with one man pouring water over him before another drags him away from the flaming wreck.
The truck driver told local media: "My truck was on fire and the door on my side could not open as the fire was spreading.
"I opened the door on the passenger side and jumped out. Then I rushed to the injured man and rescued him.
"The first thing on my mind was to rescue the man. I did not care that my truck was burned. I was thinking about rescuing the man first."
It took firefighters 40 minutes to tackle the blaze. The motorcyclist was treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
