A man has been jailed for six months after stealing a 32-tonne truck from his workplace and going on a rampage.
Shocking helicopter footage shows 36-year-old Patrick Denman driving through a red light and towards oncoming traffic on a dual carriageway.
The truck driver then pulls over on a grass verge in Cramlington, Northumberland, before police arrest him.
Newcastle Crown Court was told that Denman, of Ashington, Northumberland, had been having a nervous breakdown at the time of the incident and was heading to his ex-wife's house to intimidate her.
However, he told Judge Amanda Rippon that he was "truly sorry for any inconvenience caused".
He had earlier admitted aggravated vehicle taking, driving dangerously and driving without insurance. He was jailed for six months, banned from driving for 15 months and was given a restraining order to keep him away from his ex-wife.
