Security cameras have captures the shocking moment vandals attacked vehicles at a car dealership in Nottingham, causing £200,000's worth of damage.

The incident, which took place at 12.45am on Monday, saw as many as 60 cars on display at Lowdham Cars damaged – including a £30,000 Range Rover and a £20,000 Audi S4.

Owner Melanie Hibbitt, who opened the dealership, located on Lowdham Road in Gunthorpe, 18 months ago, told the Daily Mail the cars that were wrecked were valued at between £4,000 and £40,000.

She said: "They've thrown slabs through the backs of the windows, smashed all the lights. One of them had a sledgehammer. It could close us down to be honest.

"We're a new business. It's just unbelievable. You just try to earn a living and be right. We can't think of anyone at all we may have upset.

"We have had nothing but good reviews. If anyone comes back with a problem, we fix it. We don't want other people being hit like that. We're right on the main road."

The company's director Gary Martin said that nothing was stolen in the attack, and that the business is insured.

Nottinghamshire Police are urging anyone with information to get in contact.
