This is the stunning moment a brazen scooter-riding thief foils his own getaway by crashing into a wall.

CCTV footage recorded on Tuesday at a petrol station in the Chinese province of Jiangxi shows the alleged thief reaching into a woman's car while she is busy filling it with fuel, before removing what appears to be her purse.
