If you ever need a mobile home to survive an apocalypse, Austrian firm Action Mobil may have just the thing.
Set up by husband-and-wife team Otti and Steffi Reitz, the Saalfelden-based firm buildss customised four-wheel-drive motorhomes from trucks.
Offering trucks with a choice of two, three and four axles, the company will provide a range of options, including a garage for a car and a hydraulic extending roof.
One range-topping model, the Globecruiser, gets a permanent double bed and a convertible lounge area, and can be specified with solar panels on the roof, as well as a fresh water supply of 1,000 litres.
The huge trucks can weigh in excess of eight tonnes, and they come with equally huge price tags. According to The Daily Mail, one variant comes in with a price tag of more than £630,000.
