Cardiff man in near-miss with out-of-control car

This is the terrifying moment a man is nearly hit by an out-of-control car on the streets of Cardiff.

CCTV footage captured the incident, which took place last Wednesday, and shows the man walking down the pavement in front of the Roath Sports Social Club.
He then turns left at the intersection, and as he looks behind him he sees the car plough directly into a wall he had passed just seconds earlier.

In his panic, the man can then be seen running directly into the road in a bid to distance himself from the silver hatchback. Once the car has stopped, he then jogs over to check on the driver.

An eyewitness told Wales Online: "It looked like a car was driving down Broadway towards Clifton Street and it came off the road and went through the wall at the junction with Harold Street.

"No-one seemed to be hurt but a woman at the scene appeared very upset. There have been loads of car accidents in that area of Broadway. It seems to keep happening."

South Wales Police said they were investigating the incident, and released a statement saying: "A 37-year-old woman has been reported for summons on suspicion of driving without due care and attention and other than in accordance with a licence."
