Land Rover has pulled the covers off its all-new Range Rover Velar, which is due to go on sale in the UK this summer.
The new SUV is the fourth vehicle to join the Range Rover line-up and will sit between the baby Evoque and larger Sport models.
The British manufacturer claims that the Velar will bring un-paralleled levels of luxury, refinement and off-road capability to the mid-size SUV segment.
Jaguar Land Rover UK managing director Jeremy Hicks said: "The new Range Rover Velar is a stunning addition to the Range Rover family. It enhances a model line-up that originally defined the luxury SUV segment and continues to do so.
"Velar brings increased choice to new and existing customers in a growing SUV market. It leads the way in terms of design, usable technology, new materials and of course Land Rover's legendary go-anywhere, do-anything capability.
"The whole team is enormously excited about bringing the new Range Rover Velar to customers across the UK."
The Velar will be available with a selection of six petrol and diesel powertrains, all of which are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission manufactured by German company ZF.
As far as petrol engines go, the Range Rover Velar will be available with a 247bhp four-cylinder unit, as well as a 378bhp supercharged V6. A 296bhp four-cylinder petrol will also join the line-up at a later date.
The Range Rover Velar will cost from £44,830 when it goes on sale this summer.
