A German motorist has crashed his Audi R8 V10 Plus into a river in the Netherlands.
Video footage shows the £140,000 yellow supercar being fished out of the Angstel River after its driver had climbed out of the window and made it to dry land.
Although the car does not appear to have sustained any cosmetic injuries, it will probably be a write-off due to the water having a devastating effect on the electrics and other components.
There has been no official word on what caused the accident, but Dutch media reports that the car crashed following a "steering manoeuvre".
The crash could have been caused by a nearby speed bump. It appears the R8 was travelling at speed and may have been unsettled by the traffic calming measure.
The driver did not suffer any injuries. It is unknown whether he has been charged by the police.
