The new generation of the Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV is now on sale after being revealed at the Detroit motor show.
For the model's second generation, Mercedes said that the car went on a 'fitness programme' to slim down and become more dynamic.
Prices start from £25,880 for the base GLA 200 SE, with the top level GLA 45 4MATIC Yellow Night Edition costing £53,135.
The adaptable coupe-style SUV has three chassis options for customers for their preferred driving style. Comfort suspension comes as standard, while the lowered variation comes with the Dynamic Handling pack and the optional off-road suspension raises the body by 30mm to give a higher ground clearance and seating position.
New styling features, such as the modified bumpers, lighter alloy wheels and optional high-performance day-running LED headlights, help to make the GLA stand out from its market rivals.
Technological additions include a market-first 360-degree camera that records the car's surroundings, with the bird's-eye view shown on the media display; attention assist fitted as standard to monitor the driver's condition, and smartphone integration also coming as standard.
The top level Yellow Night Edition helps the GLA stand out even further, thanks to accented yellow pinstripe detailing and a rear wing that adds sporty attitude.
With AMG-tuned performance as well, the GLA 45 4MATIC has a top speed of 155mph and a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that produces 381bhp. For the 0-60mph time, the GLA 45 can clock 4.4 seconds, which for an SUV is mightily impressive.
Mercedes-Benz confirmed the GLA is available to order now, with deliveries beginning in April 2017.
