The driver of a Suzuki Swift was T-boned by a large truck after a poorly timed manoeuvre at a junction.
The incident, which took place in Barossa Valley near Adelaide, Australia, was caught on the truck's dashcam.
As the yellow HGV approaches a crossroads, a silver Suzuki Swift can be seen waiting to pull on to the road. The driver appears to be waiting for the truck to pass, but inexplicably pulls out at the last moment.
The truck driver has no time to swerve, and despite hitting the brakes he ploughs into the side of the small hatchback.
According to the video, the 76-year-old driver of the Suzuki was airlifted to hospital with a fractured skull, broken right shoulder, broken ribs and a broken pelvis. She is now recovering.
