Stop in the name of bad spelling. Residents of a Californian town have been left confused and dumbfounded by a comically misspelt stop sign that has been plastered across a local junction.
The giant white letters, which have been painted onto the road surface, spell out 'STPO', when the original road sign attached to a nearby lamppost clearly reads 'STOP'.
One resident exclaims, "I wouldn't be surprised if the mayor is here pretty soon," after looking at the huge typo that mysteriously appeared on the road overnight.
Another local points at the original road sign, correctly spelt and attached to a lamppost, and says, "they should have looked at that".
