Mercedes-AMG has released further details of its two latest vehicles, the GT R and GT Roadster, which are both now on sale.
The GT R is the top of the range model, which comes with a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine and produces 585bhp. This model can go from 0-60mph in 3.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 198mph.
As an upgraded version of the sports coupe, the GT R has different styling pointers, such as the AMG Panamericana grille, active aerodynamics – including a rear spoiler – and a performance exhaust system.
This high performance version is being sold for £143,245 and is available now.
The GT Roadster comes in two guises – the GT Roadster and GT C Roadster – and both are fitted with the 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine.
The GT Roadster offers 476bhp and a top speed of 188mph, whilst the tuned GT C Roadster produces 557bhp, taking it to a top speed of 196mph. Both get from 0-60mph in under four seconds.
The soft-top folding roof comes in black, beige or dark red, and can be opened and closed at speeds up to 31mph in roughly 11 seconds.
The GT Roadster is priced at £110,145, whilst the more powerful GT C Roadster starts from £139,445.
For the GT R, Mercedes offers the AMG Track package that adds four-point seat belt harnesses, a fire extinguisher and a roll cage, which costs £1,685. Mercedes also offers carbon ceramic brakes, which are a £5,995 extra.
