A man was arrested last night following a bizarre police chase in which the suspect visited a drive-through.
The pursuit took place in Phoenix, Arizona after officers signalled the driver to pull over and he fled the scene. Police pursued the vehicle and even called in helicopter support as the driver, 35-year-old Joshua Adkins, evaded them.
With the helicopter shining its light on Adkins' pick-up truck, he pulled up to an In-N-Out drive-thru and appeared to place an order. He then pulled up to the window where he waited for a few minutes before pulling away, seemingly without having received anything.
After fleeing back on to the main road, Adkins abandoned his vehicle and tried to enter someone's house. When he couldn't get inside, he surrendered to police.
Adkins is still in custody, arrested on suspicion of unlawful flight from law enforcement, aggravated assault-domestic violence and unlawful imprisonment.
