Ducati has revealed a new SuperSport model range at the Intermot motorcycle show in Cologne, Germany.
The model is the brand's latest sport road bike and will come in two variants, the SuperSport and the SuperSport S.
It will mark a change of direction for Ducati, whose sportsbikes have never been known for their on-road comfort.
Paolo Quattrino, the SuperSport's product marketing manager commented: "The SuperSport isn't a sports tourer or an entry level superbike. It is a unique bike in its own right, a versatile sportsbike from Ducati."
Designed for riders looking for sports performance combined with on-road comfort and easy handling, the SuperSport is powered by a twin-cylinder 937cc Testastretta 11° engine, which produces 113bhp.
Three riding modes in the form of Sport, Touring and Urban will allow the rider to make the most of the model whatever their environment, while Ducati's Safety pack inspires rider confidence, thanks to Bosch ABS and the Italian manufacturer's own traction control system.
The S variant of the model adds fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, Ducati's Quick Shift up/down system and a rear seat cover. In white, it will be available for a £1,300 premium over the standard £10,995 SuperSport, while the red SuperSport S will cost £12,495.
model"Riders approaching the Ducati sports world for the first time will discover versatility, easy handling and, above all, the very essence of sports riding as Ducati sees it."
