A stunning example of a Porsche 959 Komfort is to fetch over £600,000 in an online auction that ends tomorrow.
The 1988 model is not only well looked after, but also extremely rare – it is number 212 of just 292 produced.
Powered by Porsche's famous 2.85-litre flat-six engine, the car put out 444hp when new, and could shoot from 0 to 60 in just 3.6 seconds. A not-insignificant top speed of 195mph meant that the 959 was the fastest production car of its era.
While similar models have topped $1million, this is unlikely to fetch that – not only because of the short amount of time remaining on the auction, but also because of the high miles it has covered.
It is listed with 24,000 miles on the clock, a number which would be relatively low on some vehicles but is considered high on this iconic sports car.
The model is offered by American auction site Bring a Trailer, and is currently listed at $779,959 - that's £600,599.
It has been stored indoors for the past 18 months, and has had an incredible $100,000 (£77,004) spent on its maintenance and upkeep over the years.
With a day left to run on the bidding, the car could potentially top $800,000 (£616,031).
