CCTV footage of the moment an SUV crashed into a Connecticut petrol station store injuring a clerk has been released by the police.
The video is compiled of footage from three different cameras and shows the large vehicle reversing from a parking space outside the store in Clinton, before lurching forward through the front of the building.
Shop assistant 33-year-old Nirav Patel was standing behind the counter next to the shopfront at the time, and the impact sent him flying to the floor among a pile of debris. He suffered minor injuries.
Clinton Police Department is investigating the case and has identified the driver as Christopher Caterino from Greenfield, New York.
The 64-year-old was cited for reckless driving, and was found not to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident, which happened on September 1.
