Motorcycle blasts through Amsterdam market at high speed

Footage has emerged of two motorcycles speeding dangerously through a busy Dutch market.

Onlookers gasp in horror as one biker appears to pursue another in close proximity to shoppers and lunch-makers in Nieuwmarkt, Amsterdam.

However, all is not as it seems. The riders are in fact filming for upcoming action comedy The Hitman's Bodyguard, and closer inspection shows a camera mounted on the front of the pursuing motorcycle.

The well-dressed lead rider, aboard a Triumph Street Triple, is believed to be a stunt double for one of the high-profile actors starring in the motion picture.

Those big names include Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L Jackson, Salma Hayek and Gary Oldman.

Filming for The Hitman's Bodyguard began earlier this year, with its release set for summer 2017.

Another high-octane scene has already made headlines, when a Porsche Cayenne was spotted racing alongside a canal against a speedboat.

Careering around a corner, the German SUV collided with a Smart Fortwo, sending it crashing into the canal.
