Google's co-founder has quietly invested £70 million in two rival start-up companies that specialise in the development of flying car technology, it has been reported.

Larry Page has invested in the two companies, Zee.Aero and Kitty Hawk, which are both working on an all-electric plane capable of taking off and landing vertically, says Bloomsberg Businessweek.
