Iconic cars to go under the hammer at Classic & Sports car show

Updated:

A number of iconic classic cars are to be auctioned by Coys at this year's Classic & Sports Car show, as part of a major new feature over the weekend long event.

The auction house has previously taken part in the show, which is held at London's Alexandra Palace, but never auctioned vehicles there before.

CEO of Coys, Chris Routledge, commented: "We exhibited at the inaugural Classic & Sports Car Show last year and were very impressed with the venue, the event itself and especially the knowledge and passion of the visitors. We are now delighted to be able to offer an extra element to that already vibrant event."

The show, which is run by the world's best-selling classic car magazine, Classic & Sports Car, and Haymarket Exhibitions, will take place from Friday 28 – Sunday 03 October. Visitors will be able to view more than 300 prestigious classic models from both private collectors and retailers alike.

Last year's show proved extremely popular, and with a similarly successful event predicted this year, a number of other exciting events are planned to take place.

Commenting on the Coys auction, James Elliott, Group Editor of Classic & Sports Car, said: "Confirming such a significant auction is a real testament to the success of the inaugural show last year, that saw 15,150 visitors pass through the gates.

"We're looking forward to not only seeing some iconic classics go under the hammer, but also to working with Coys to do so in a bold and different way."
