Technology giant Samsung has branched into the automotive sector with a new concept digital motorcycle windscreen.
The 'Smart Windshield', which was developed alongside Yamaha, is designed to connect wirelessly to the rider's smartphone, and display important information such as text messages, incoming phone calls, emails and sat-nav.
Using the windscreen, which Samsung claims will offer 'more safety on two wheels'; the rider will be able to remain digitally connected without compromising their control of the motorcycle.
However, despite being only a concept, the design is a controversial one. The majority of the comments on the YouTube video, which was uploaded by SamsungItalia last week, question just how safe the device will be, as while it allows the rider to keep both hands on the handlebars, their attention will still be distracted from the road in front of them.
