One-owner Alfa Romeo Milano Verde goes up for sale in California

Updated:

An iconic Alfa Romeo, one of only 883 models of its kind to ever have been imported into the US, has gone up for sale on Craigslist.

Despite having over 156,000 miles on its clock, the Milano Verde is in spotless condition, both inside and out.

It comes with an original service manual, toolbox and more than one key – unusual for a car of its age.

Purchased new in 1988 from a dealer local to its current home in San Dimas, California, the Alfa Romeo boasts a complete service history and features anti-lock brakes, a limited slip differential and sport body cladding with a rear spoiler.

The stock 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine puts out a claimed 188hp from its rear wheels via a manual transmission, along with the model's recognisable sound.

The owner claims to have spent thousands on maintenance, adding that it was carried out almost exclusively at a garage specialising in Alfa Romeos.

With only 883 of its kind imported into America almost 30 years ago, there are unlikely to be many remaining, let alone in as impressive a condition as this example, which the owner attributes to having always kept it garaged.

While the asking price of 12,500 may appear a little steep for a Milano, a true fan is likely to fork out considering the combination of rarity, condition and a great drive.
