A 12-year-old boy had an extremely lucky escape after an out of control car ploughed into his bedroom as he slept.
The driver, who was later arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence, reportedly lost control of the SUV before running over a street sign, crossing the lawn outside the house and crashing into the North Omaha home.
Luckily while rearranging his bedroom earlier that day, the boy had moved his bed across the room and away from the wall with which the vehicle collided, a move which may well have saved his life
"I heard a big ol' boom and then like, sizzling noises like, the whole car came in," he commented.
"Luckily I moved because if I was still there I would have been hurt or dead. God is a blessing because I'm still here."
The incident was caught on a neighbour's CCTV, and shows just how close the car came to seriously injuring the child.
