Back in 1983, tennis legend John McEnroe won both the ATP Player of the Year and the ITF World Champion for men's singles games. As a reward, he's said to have treated himself to a Ferrari 400i, which left the production line the same year.

The 400i wasn't the most desirable Prancing Horse to leave Maranello, but it's still a Ferrari under the metal. The 400 model was the Italian carmaker's replacement for the 356 GT4 2+2 and, while it didn't live up to expectations in terms of appearance, it bore a 305bhp 4.8-litre V12 engine. Its hefty unit means it can sprint from 0-60mph in seven seconds.
