Car crashes into busy New York coffee shop


Security footage captures the horrifying moment a car crashes into a Starbucks coffee shop in New York.

Two people were taken to hospital, according to the New York Post. The car swerved to avoid a pedestrian, but still managed to hit his leg.

The video shows how the car loses control and mounts the curb before crashing into the coffee shop in Manhattan.

The crash occurred in the busy morning period, with one onlooker telling the New York Post how a delivery worker dodged the car at the last minute: "he was standing at the corner waiting for the light to change, and out of the corner of his eye he saw the car come straight toward him."

They went on to say: "I'm so thankful he was able to jump out of the way."

Both injured men were taken the New York – Presbyterian Hospital, though both were reported as suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
