Drink driver crashes not once but twice

This footage shows the incredible moment a drunk driver crashes into the central reservation of a dual carriageway not once but twice.

Captured on the A14 near Kettering, Northamptonshire, it shows how Martin Cantrill, who was three-and-a-half times over the legal limit, smashes into the central barrier and attempts to carry on.

Tom Cafferty, who captured the footage, told the Metro newspaper how "[Mr Cantrill] was swerving in and out of lanes and I couldn't believe it when he went over onto the grass verge but then kept on driving".

Defendant Michael Coley also told the Metro that "[Mr Cantrill] was shown footage of the incident and he was disgusted by his behaviour".

Mr Cantrill, 43, was sentence to 10 months suspended for 12 months at Northampton Crown Court this week after admitting dangerous driving. He was also given a disqualification from driving for three years.

The footage uploaded by Mr Cafferty to YouTube has gained nearly 600,000 views so far.
