With a top speed of 205mph and a 0-62mph time of 3.0 seconds, the Ferrari 488 GTB is the Italian supercar maker's newest two-seater.
Developing 660bhp from a twin-turbocharged V8, the 488 GTB comes as a replacement for the hugely successful 458 Italia. The 'GTB' moniker stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta, a name given to only the most sporting of Ferrari models.
Driving power to the rear wheels is a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox and keeping all of that performance in check is a variety of complex computer systems designed to maximise both driver enjoyment and safety.
A Side Slip Control System, or SSC, allows the driver to feel the very edges of grip that the car has to offer whilst keeping within a computer safety net that prevents the car from spinning.
For the economy-conscious Ferrari owner, the new 488 GTB should come as a welcome addition with its 24.8mpg figure.
Ferrari claim that the 488 GTB has "extreme power for unique driving pleasure".
