Morgan unveils new Cosworth-powered ARP4

Morgan releases Cosworth powered model

Morgan has been making cars for 65 years, and has decided that it is time to make their iconic Plus 4 model just a bit more modern in the performance stakes.

Throughout the years, the Plus 4 models have been a constant among the Morgan fleet and the most recent version to be unveiled has been made especially to celebrate the company's 65th anniversary.

To make this new model even more special, there are only 50 being made, which are all hand assembled and tuned by Morgan's experienced motorsport technicians.

Giving the vintage-styled car modern performance stats is a powerful Cosworth 2.0-litre engine made by AR Motorsports that pumps out 225bhp - a significant increased over lesser Morgans.

Not only is there more power on tap, but the power will be delivered smoothly to the Tarmac thanks to the car's expert fettling by AR Motorsport race technicians, who ensure the car is more capable and exhilarating than the retro styling would ever let you believe.

The styling of the ARP4 pushes the boundaries of this traditional classic, combining modern performance and functionality whilst ensuring it remains an appealing on-road classic.

To achieve this, Morgan maintained its core materials; ash, aluminium and leather to ensure the cars are both lightweight and luxurious. Soundproofing throughout means that there is much less wind and road noise. A redesigned dashboard also improves usability.

Pricing for the Morgan starts at £54,995 including VAT.
