Supercar buyers are spoiled for choice; whether you want a heavyweight bruiser, a nimble, high-revving screamer, or a lightweight pared-back track machine, spending north of £100,000 should be more than enough to get your high-speed thrills.

What do you do if you want a relatively lightweight machine with the DNA of a track car, but a little added sophistication – such as doors and a windscreen – and you have a penchant for both superchargers and turbochargers, though? Well, this is where the Rezvani Motors Beast comes in.

Based on the skeletal Ariel Atom 3, the Beast features sharply-sculpted carbon fibre bodywork – which fills in the gaps between the Atom's scaffolding-style frame – carbon fibre seats and steering wheel and 19-inch forged alloy wheels, though you'll have to tick the right box to have a windscreen included. More surprisingly, however, you also get a media system with Apple CarPlay compatibility included.

As for muscle, this Rezvani packs a supercharged and turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder motor that punches out a hefty 500bhp – enough to catapult the 748kg machine to 60mph in a rapid 2.7 seconds and on to 165mph.

Should you fancy taking a chance on Rezvani, you'll have to stump up $165,000 (£106,000) – and wait between eight and 12 weeks – to get your own Beast.
