Land Rover launches heritage driving experience

Land Rovers at Fen End

Hot on the heels of its sister brand, Jaguar, Land Rover has launched a new heritage driving experience, allowing drivers to get behind the wheel of their favourite classic and contemporary 4x4 models.

Based at the brand's Fen End test facility near Solihull, the new programme will see Land Rover fans able to test their skills in everything from the 1948 Series 1 Land Rover, which put the iconic manufacturer on the map, right the way through to the modern day, ultra-luxurious Range Rover.

There are also a number of speciality vehicles available to drive, including a bespoke military Forward Control transporter.

The experiences are priced from £40 for passenger rides around the off-road centre, and rise to £250 for 'The Collection', where customers will get into every key Land Rover from the marque's extensive back catalogue.

All experiences take place under the supervision of professional instructors, so drivers can get the best from their chosen Land Rover, no matter what their ability.

If you'd rather drive something a bit more sporting, Jaguar has its own heritage driving experience, which it runs at the former Prodrive proving ground in Kenilworth. For information on both, head to JLR's heritage driving website.
