Ferrari 512TR for sale

If exotic 90s supercars in shades of banana yellow are your thing, you're in luck, because one seriously rare Ferrari is going under the hammer at Silverstone Auctions May Sale. Unfortunately for us mere mortals, the guide price for this F512M is a whopping £280,000 to £330,000.

This very yellow 1994 F512M is one of the last batch of the mighty Testarossa, of which only 501 were produced between 1994 and 1996, so it's understandable why this model would sport such a price tag.

As one of the last Testarossas, it's become something of a collectors' item. It also features that familiar 4.9-litre flat 12 mid-mounted engine, has 446bhp and a 0-60 time of just 4.7 seconds. The top speed of 196mph is also pretty tasty.

This was an improvement on the 512 TR, which was produced for 10 years previously. The F512M received upgrades to the rear lights, air ducts, plus it got bigger brakes, while the interior was updated too.

This example has had two owners and covered only 11,694 miles. It started its life in Germany, before being sold to its second owner in Japan. Then, recently, it made its way back to Europe.

There are four other older Testarossas on sale at Silverstone Auctions, for those who can't quite muster the price tag of this F512M. One is from 1989 and has covered only 6372 miles for £120,000 to £140,000 and a slightly shabby example from 1986, but for the much more attractive guide price of £80,000 to £100,000.

The May Sale will take place on May 23rd at Silverstone Circuit.
